Websites
My work with HBO.com began with writing articles and doing interviews, but as the goals of the website changed, so did the work.

In 2018, I was part of the small force that oversaw all content goals and migration for the launch of the new HBO.com. I also acted as main point-person for the content programming and copywriting of the site's homepage (updated every day) and its other "tentpole" pages. The website has changed its goals again since I was part of the team that owned it, but during my tenure with the site we saw it as an opportunity to explore, inform, and suggest content and series to our viewers.

Much of my experience has also been in launching and creating content on websites for series that require deep-dive experiences, such as Game of Thrones titles, The Gilded Age, and His Dark Materials. These are shows with expansive worlds or huge ensembles, where fans benefit from having a place to fact-find and explore.

While a great deal of this content is written by me, if it is not, it is reviewed by me, along with the greater purpose, design, and updates to the site.
His Dark Materials
HBO and Known worked in close collaboration with showrunners and writers to create DaemonsandDust.com, a storytelling companion site for desktop and mobile which provided clarity and background on the characters, locations, and concepts found in each world through shareable photos, writing, and custom-made graphics and video, so fans new and old could understand and explore the world.

Podcasts
While my work has touched writing and reviewing podcast ads, or working on segments for pre-existing podcasts to feature a title, the real fun stuff comes when the Marketing and Podcast teams decide a campaign or series is a good fit for its own podcast series.

I work closely with the Marketing Strategy team, Podcast team leadership and producers, and any relevant external agency to finesse the overall goal of the podcast series: is it a behind-the-scenes look? Is it for those watching week-to-week or should it feel more evergreen? Once we have this direction, who should be on it for each episode? As the creative point-person for my titles, my team provides an initial suggestion list of cast and crew who might be best to feature for each episode, review all session scripts in advance, sit in on the session recordings to ensure accuracy to the title, call-out topics we’d love to see hit and prevent spoilers, and sign-off on final edits before they go to the showrunners themselves for final approvals.

Once the podcast has been created, my team reviews and selects social clips and assets to promote the series.
